The Department of Art History at the University of Minnesota offers study in Islamic Art History and Architecture at the Masters and Ph.D. levels. Professor Catherine Asher is the adviser for this program. Courses are in English. Although her research specialty is South Asia the courses offered cover the entire Islamic world from the inception of Islam through contemporary developments throughout the world.
