The College of Arts, Kuwait University, announces the availability of Positions for qualified Academic Staff Members (Professor or Associate Professor) for the academic year 2004/2005 as follows:
Department of Arabic Language and Literature
- Arabic Grammar, Professor or Associate Professor
- Linguistics, Professor or Associate Professor
Department of History
- Islamic History, Professor or Associate Professor
REQUIREMENTS
- Arabic is the language of teaching in the College of Arts, except for the Department of English Language and Literature. However, Mastering of a foreign language is one of the prerequisites for appointment in all these posts, in addition to the degree of Ph.D. from an approved university.
- Kuwait University follows the credit-hour system.
- Academic Staff Members are expected to participate in academic research and publication, community services and students' counseling.
- Applicants should fill out their application forms (which can be obtained from the Cultural Attache, Embassy of the State of Kuwait), and send them * together with copies of their B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees, previous experience and a recent C.V. * within one month of the date of this announcement to:
